Editor’s Note: Dr. Ligon Duncan delivers a memorable address on the vast importance of pursuing faithfulness to reformed confessionalism. Our Confession of Faith is not an obstacle to piety. It should not be a forgotten and neglected set of truths. Rather, it is to be the warp and woof of all we do in ministry. Dr. Duncan says, “We don’t pursue unity in some cause or process or strategy. We want unity in the truth. Confessions put up that kind of unity.” It is the Confession of Faith that helps us endure in faithful theology, practice, and unity.
