Reflecting on 50 Years of the PCA
Introducing a Video Series from the GRN

What a glorious occasion we are celebrating today! With hymnody, prayer, thanksgiving, praise, and hope, we recognize the 50th Anniversary of the first General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). Earlier this year, the Gospel Reformation Network (GRN) recorded and produced a series of brief video reflections on the history of the PCA.

This project was part of our special time together at the 2023 GRN National Conference held at Sovereign Grace Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Charlotte, North Carolina. In God’s good providence, we were able to include our dear friend and mentor Dr. Harry L. Reeder, III shortly before the Lord called him home. Over the next several days, we will be highlighting each video here on the GRN blog, but we wanted to open the series with Harry’s reflections on the PCA.

Encouraged by the rising generation of pastors, elders, and ministry leaders in the PCA, Harry left us with a ringing encouragement and exhortation to hold fast to God’s glorious gospel, that sacred trust which is ours to proclaim to the world. Take a few minutes today to watch Harry’s final reflections on the PCA, even as we prepare to publish additional reflections from Kevin DeYoung, David Garner, Richard Phillips, Jonathan Master, and David Strain.
