As mentioned earlier this week, the Gospel Reformation Network (GRN) recorded and produced a series of brief video reflections on the history of the PCA this past spring “behind the scenes” at the 2023 GRN National Conference.
Today, we are happy to highlight a stirring reflection on the PCA and call to faithfulness from GRN Executive Council member Dr. David T. A. Strain of First Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Jackson, MS. Here are some excerpts from Dr. Strain’s comments in this brief video:
“The PCA is ideally positioned to proclaim the unsearchable riches of Christ, to see sinners brought from darkness into His marvelous light, to see new churches that are vibrant and healthy and are committed to the simple, scriptural, and spiritual worship that is our inheritance as Presbyterian Christians. The PCA is committed to the free offer of the gospel, to reaching people of every language and nation, tribe and tongue, and that’s been our legacy for fifty years now.”
“It’s imperative that the PCA continues to make no uncertain sound. We must articulate the Faith once for all delivered with clarity, precision, with boldness and urgency. In my judgment, it’s never been more important for us to reach our nation and the nations around us with the gospel…The PCA has an opportunity – a thrilling opportunity really – to reach the world. In order to do that, we must hold fast as well as hold forth the Word of life.”
